He has authored books on philosophy, strategy, economics, education, research and environmental management and his research concentrates on epistemology, education, and sustainability. He is Editor-in-Chief of Annals and Co-Chair of the UNWTO Education and Science Council and was the tourism expert reviewer for the last UK national research assessment exercise (RAE).
